Soil Amender General Description

Soil Amender is a compost soil amendment produced by our
unique proprietary composting process where temperatures
exceed 55 C to kill weeds, weed seeds and pathogens.
Soil Amender is a significant source of organic matter and
improves plant growth by enhancing soil physical properties,
improving waterholding capacity, and providing a source of
energy to beneficial soil organisms.

Product Use: Vegetable Gardens and Raised Beds Spread
a 2”- 4” layer of Soil Amender evenly on existing soil and blend by
rototilling or thorough incorporation by shovel to a 6” to 12”
depth. This corresponds to approximately 6 - 12 cubic yards
per 1,000 square feet. Rake or roll to achieve proper grade,
then irrigate generously prior to new planting. Use in the
growing season as a topdressing to control weeds, preserve
moisture and provide nutrients by applying a1” layer; do not
blend.

Established Lawns: Core - aerate the lawn making 3 to 5
passes over the turf surface. Spread a ½” layer of Soil
Amender over the entire lawn, or approximately 1 ½ cubic-
yards per 1,000 square feet. If the lawn has not been core
aerated, apply a ¼ ” layer of Soil Amender over the entire
lawn, or approximately ¾ cubic- yards per 1,000 square feet.
Gently work it in the lawn using a broom or rake. Use Soil
Amender once to twice a year (early spring and/or late fall)
for best results. Irrigate generously for several days after
application.

New Lawns: Spread a 2” to 4” layer of Soil Amender evenly
on existing soil and blend by roto-tilling to a 6” to 12” depth.
Rake, roll to achieve proper grade, then irrigate generously
and apply a phosphorus rich fertilizer (10-30-10) and seed or
sod.

Trees and Shrubs: (planted): Apply a 1” to 3” layer of Soil
Amender 1 foot away from the trunk to 1 foot beyond the drip
line of the branches. Irrigate generously for several days
